Set the Mood

  • Take a trip to Little India (or any store that imports exotic home accessories).
  • Hang brightly coloured saris or fabric from wires strung around the table, and envelop the room in deep hues of orange and pink. Saris also make great tablecloths.
  • Fill the table with exotic glass votive candles and surround them with a light blanket of multi-coloured rose petals.
  • Bunches of shimmering children’s bangles make perfect napkin rings.
  • Small jewelled boxes or other inexpensive knick-knacks make lovely table favours and keepsakes.

Rental Options
Never fret about being short on chairs – rent them instead. We found this gold ballroom chair at Chair-man Mills and made it festive with a colourful cushion cover and a rose-petal lei. You can also rent tables, dishes, whatever you need. And the best part about renting dishes is – you guessed it – no washing up.
