Summer: Dockside Dining
Pair nautical blues and whites with wicker and light wood for an airy, seaside feel.

Menu: Young Beet & Goat Cheese Salad
A simple tasty salad for the beet lovers in your family.

Root for the Best: Candy cane and golden beets are sweeter and more colourful than regular beets. Roasting them at a high heat intensifies the flavour. Look for them in the specialty isle at your local produce markets.

Decor Tip: Summer heat calls for casual entertaining. Set your table buffet style and leave plates and cutlery out for easy self-serving. Wicker is affordable, easy to find and provides a sense of the outdoors. We found this three-tiered basket in Chinatown. Add flowers and it doubles as a whimsical centrepiece.
