Intimate Affair Menu

Set the scene for a romantic evening under the stars.

Step 1:Menu

  • Grilled Alberta Flank Steak
  • Grilled Portobello Mushroom Salad
  • Rustic Rhubarb Cobbler

    Step 2: Plan ahead with our Intimate Dinner For Two Grocery List.

    Step 3: Follow our Instructions to prepare for a special dinner.

    One Week Before:
    1. Make an occasion of eating at home. Send your sweetie a formal invite to join for dinner on the deck a few days in advance to create anticipation.

    Two Days Before:
    1. Take some time to think about the small details that set the mood. Buy candles for after the sunsets. Create a playlist for the evening.
    2. Pick up the wine.

    The Day Before:
    1. Use our grocery list to get everything you need for dinner. Don't forget to pick up some fresh flowers to use as a centre piece.
    2. Make the Rhubarb Cobbler. The flavours will intensify over night.
    3. Make the Parmesan Tuiles and Sun-Dried Tomato Vinaigrette for the mushroom salad.
    4. Make mustard sauce for steak.
    5. Clean and prepare any other vegetables you will need for dinner tomorrow.

    The Day of:
    1. Preheat the grill.
    2. Set the table. Use your chinaware just because.
    3. Open the wine to let it breathe.
    4. Sautee mushrooms and onions to accompany steak.
    4. Grill portobello mushrooms and make salad.
    5. Follow instructions for Grilled Alberta Flank Steak. (Reheat pre-made sauce.)
    6. Hit play on your iPod and pour the wine, you're ready for dinner.
