Simple Beef Stir-Fry

Family and friends will beg for seconds of this easy and delicious dish.

Ingredients (Serves 4)

3 tbsp dry sherry
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp oyster sauce
1 tsp granulated sugar
1 tsp cornstarch
1/4 tsp salt
1 clove garlic, minced
1 lb beef tenderloin, thinly sliced
2 medium onions, thinly sliced
1/2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Combine first 7 ingredients in a medium bowl; mix in beef. Cover and refrigerate.
  2. In a wok, stir-fry onions in oil over high heat for about 5 minutes. Transfer to a serving plate, cover and keep warm.
  3. Add about 1/3 of beef to wok and cook until lightly browned, about 3 minutes. Remove from pan, arrange over onions and repeat with remaining beef. Serve with rice and sugar snap peas.

Nutritional information

Nutrients per serving: 231 calories, 10 g fat, 24 g protein, 7 g carbs, 1 g fibre. Excellent source vitamins B6 and B12 and zinc.
