Smoked Mackerel Pate

This simple, two-step recipe is superbly rich, high in vitamin B12 and tastes great with sweet or dill gherkins.

Ingredients

8          oz. cream cheese
8 oz. smoked mackerel, skin removed, broken into pieces
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in food processor and blend until well combined.
  2. Chill for 30 minutes and serve with your favourite crackers or flatbreads.

Nutrients per serving: 173 calories, 9.1 g protein, 14.6 g fat, 1.2 g carbohydrates.
