    PITA PUZZLE Pita bread comes in a variety of sizes & styles, including plain, whole wheat, multi-grain, Greek & Lebanese. Mini pitas are great for making hors d’oeuvre-sized pizzas. For a high-fibre, heart-healthy pizza, choose whole-grain.

Mediterranean Pita Pizzas

Choose from a variety of vegetables, cheeses, pestos and tapenades to create easy, versatile meals

Ingredients (Each Pita Makes 1 Serving)

7-inch pitas (1 per serving)
black olive pesto
arugula
smoked provolone
roasted red peppers
marinated artichokes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F.
  2. Place 7-inch pitas on a baking sheet and top with black olive pesto, arugula, smoked provolone, roasted red peppers and marinated artichokes. Load it up any way you like.
  3. Fire into the oven for 10-12 minutes or until cheese melts.

Nutritional information

Nutrients per pizza: 487 calories, 23.4 g protein, 25.4 g fat, 42.6 g carbohydrates, 4.6 g fibre. Excellent source of vitamins A, C and B12. Good source of iron and dietary fibre.
