A New York native turns a tiny Georgian Bay cottage into a New England-inspired beach retreat

We’ve all done it before – on a rainy day when there’s nothing else to do we fantasize about owning a little piece of property on a lake. You plot out where it will be, how you’ll decorate and which friends make the standing weekend invitation list.
For FASHION Magazine beauty director Laura Fraioli-Keogh and her husband Dan Keogh, this soggy-day diversion landed them an adorable beachfront cabin on Georgian Bay. “It was teeming rain and we were bored, so we decided to poke around to see what was for sale,” recalls Laura. “We saw our tiny two-bedroom cottage and a week later, we owned it!”
