Carefree Cottaging
After years of renting various summer spots with their families and dreaming of designing their own, best friends Christina Sheerin and Amy Hamilton had a terrific idea to buy a summer house together. This way, two couples could share the cost of mortgage, upkeep and taxes.
They stumbled upon an itsy, bitsy cabin deep in the heart of Haliburton, Ont. Though it was tinier than most bunkies, it had great bones and was full of Northern charm. In no time, the two families had adapted the cottage to their combined tastes.
