Kickin' It Old School

Fashionable Fingers

When it comes to nail colour, celebrity manicurist and nail expert Deborah Lippmann has it down to a T, polishing the likes of Mariah Carey, Renee Zellweger and Sarah Jessica Parker. So you can understand my excitement when Holt Renfrew’s signature magenta shade arrived in a nail polish created by Ms. Lippmann herself. Did I mention she is also an accomplished jazz singer? Hence the name Painter Song, titled after a soulful Norah Jones single.

Way Cool Sunglasses

The sunglasses of the season are definitely the Ray Ban Wayfarer. Designed in 1952, these shades have remained popular since then with sales in the millions. They have been key to style icons throughout the 50’s, 60’s and 80’s and were famously worn by Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn (Breakfast at Tiffany’s), Andy Warhol and Tom Cruise (Risky Business). Today, celebs like Chloe Sevigny and Sienna Miller have helped bring back the style.
