Now that you Torontonians have had time to recover from the Interior Design Show, you should know next weekend (March 6-9) is the first of another event that promises to achieve the same status, minus the weekend-in-a-convention-centre hangover. The Artist Project Toronto brings together more than 100 carefully selected, independent, emerging and established artists to the stylish Liberty Grand to showcase their work to collectors, gallerists, art enthusiasts and anyone looking for something different to do. The atmosphere is not intimidating and is sure to inspire novice and seasoned collectors alike. There’s an opening gala on Thursday night complete with an after-party at The Drake Hotel, and I’m betting Friday night ARTinis and a talk with Mark Challen on how to display your collection will be a big hit.
