An Inspiring Design Book

An Inspiring Design Book

An excellent book landed on my desk the other week with a huge thud. Design: Intelligence Made Visible (Firefly Books, $50, coming to bookstores in November) is a dictionary of the best in design from the 20th and 21st centuries, charting designers, design movements and categories of everything from cars to clothes to can openers.

Written by leading design writer and lecturer Stephen Bayley and renowned designer and furniture maker Sir Terence Conran, it will be an excellent reference tool around the office, both for the detailed design info and the inspiration it will provide both the home and style teams here at Wish. You don’t need a Noguchi coffee table to display it on, but it couldn’t hurt. Makes a great gift!
