Grilled Sirloin Skewers With Aromatic Herbs*

Intense flavours of Southeast Asia are combined with delicious beef to create this great dish.

Ingredients (Serves 4)

1 lb beef sirloin, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1 lime, juiced
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp fish sauce
1 tbsp minced fresh ginger
1 tbsp minced fresh chili pepper
1 tbsp roughly chopped fresh mint
1 tbsp roughly chopped fresh cilantro
1 tbsp roughly chopped fresh basil
8-12 large lettuce leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to high.
  2. Sprinkle sirloin cubes generously with salt and pepper, thread onto skewers and cook for 3 to 4 minutes for medium-rare.
  3. Push cooked sirloin off skewers into a large bowl, add next 8 ingredients and toss gently utnil meat is thoroughly coated.
  4. Serve sirloin cubes on a platter with lettuce leaves on the side. Roll beef into lettuce wraps.
